Medical Surge Cases

Mobile Triage and Treatment Cases

The Medical Surge Case system works with a hospital or medical care treatment center's pre-existing infrastructure.  It's easily managed by staff, and provides a scalable, inexpensive way to supply needed equipment in a non-traditional patient care environment.

Hospitals and Emergency Medical Personnel are
better prepared for times of disaster.

The case allows medical care providers to both triage and treat at the site of an emergency rather than waiting for transportation to a hospital, yet also can be used at hospitals, clinics, and other care facilities as a standby back-up system should a surge of patients becomes a reality.

  • Two drawer chests with three drawers each.

  • Work or storage space on top of each chest of drawers.

  • Large storage area in case can serve as a mobile table base, or can hold cots, linens or medical equipment. (Note:  Supplies are not included).

  • Six drawers can be stocked with basic medical supplies or provider specific supplies. (Note:  Supplies are not included).

  • Table with attached, foldable legs that serves as the Surge Case lid when stowed.

  • Easy-to-use lockable security clasps that latch the case together.

  • Fully mobile - Can be moved and set-up by 2 people within 20 minutes.

  • Customizable - Can be supplied with wheels and other accessories depending on local terrain.

Each Care Facility stocks their own preferred supplies, allowing for full customization for triage and treatment.
Supplies are not included with the case.

Moses Cone Surge Case System

A four- to eight-bed surge area can be created from one container, and since each Health Care Provider stocks their own supplies, the system is completely flexible!  The case can hold disaster beds, a table and two mobile workstations that can be stocked with medical supplies.

The Medical Surge Case was designed in response to recent disasters that have overwhelmed medical facilities. It can be designed to suit various medical settings: hospital emergency departments, intensive care units, long-term care units or can be deployed as part of a State Medical Assistance Team in disaster situations.

Depending on the type of application, the Medical Surge Case can be stocked with medical supplies for any medical situation: first response teams, medical surge capacity, intensive care units or as a mobile interoperable system that serves a whole hospital system.
